Students will need to view the learning targets for the week in the class notebook. Students will be testing their knowledge of the elements of art and principles of design this week using the hellosmart application. Info to join games is located in the class notebook. Wednesday will be the last opportunity to turn in incomplete assignments.
Students will need to view the weekly learning targets in the class notebook. Students will have several art activities to review the elements and principles of art and design this week.
Monday is Art dectective http://www.eduweb.com/pintura/ Tuesday will be reviewing the PowerPoint in the notebook Wednesday will be Elements and Principles Jeopardy! https://www.playfactile.com/elementsandprinciplesofart Thursday students will create examples of each element of art and take a pic and upload to the notebook. Students will need to check the learning targets for this week's lesson. Students will continue to work on their animal zentangle designs. Students should add at least 4 tiles to the background (negative space) and create larger shapes, lines and patterns in their tangles. Students will use at least 3 color schemes to add the element of color with colored pencils (see PowerPoint slides 18-19 in the class notebook). Students will need to take a picture of their work and upload it to the class notebook tab "pics" by Thursday.
This week students will go to the class notebook and look at the learning targets. We will be learning about the art of Zentangles. Students will view the presentation then begin researching contour drawings of their favorite animal. Students will create a contour drawing of their animal that takes up most of their paper. Students will follow the step by step tutorial to begin creating tiles and tangles.

We are learning about the artist, Henri Matisse and how he used the element of color in his artwork. The digital reading is in Scholastic Art Magazine. The info to access the magazine is in your learning targets (link, instructions, password). Work sheets are located in the Content Library of the notebook. You will need to click on the tab for the worksheet, right click your mouse and scroll down to "copy" then click on it. You will go to your tabs in the notebook, create a new page in the "homework" tab and click on the empty space (right click of mouse). Then scroll down to "paste" and click. This will put the worksheet on your tab/page of the notebook. You will use the pen tool to add color to your worksheets. We will have weekly art class meetings on Tuesdays starting tomorrow at 12:30. The information has been emailed. I cannot post the link on this blog. It needs to remain private. This week will be a catch up week. Please make sure you are working on the assignments from March 16th-April 3rd.
Monday: Students will need to go to the class notebook. Click on the "Learning Targets" tab and scroll down to "week 3/30-4/3/2020.
Students will be learning about forced perspective. Students will view the PowerPoint in the class notebook about forced perspective and how to create it with photography. Students will brainstorm 5 ideas for the project and text them in the "Homework" page of the notebook. Tuesday-Thursday: Students should be creating the ideas they wrote in their notebook using a phone or camera. Students may have a family member help to create the illusion. The student has to be the photographer. Please review the instructions in the PowerPoint. Friday: Students will upload all images to the "Pics" tab of the class notebook. They will post their favorite image to the "collaboration space" page titled, "Forced Perspective". They will write their name next to their image. Students will use stickers from the menu bar to vote for their favorite image on the page. |
